"Transposition"

Commission of paintings on silk for Christopher Dock Mennonite High School Rosenberger Academic Center, Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

The colors and motifs in these pieces reflect the agrarian roots of this community, while the blue windows point to connection to the Divine through times of quiet reflection. As an alumnus, this was an especially meaningful project. Two paintings suspended in the prayer room continue the color from the mobile suspended in the atrium. One painting outside the prayer room door invites entry along with a sculpture by Esther Augsburger. I was moved by Phil Lederach's design to include a prayer room in the core of the student center, and created this installation to highlight that architectural feature. The mobile metalwork is by Ed Clemmens.
