"Stations of the Cross"

I am grateful for the honor to create paintings on silk to express the fifteen stations of the cross for the
Church of St. Thomas More, Glendale, Arizona.

The paintings use color, motion and composition to express the essence of each individual station of the cross. The overall concept uses slight groupings to create a balance within the architecture. Stations 4, 5 and 6 are grouped to balance the window of the chapel on the opposite side of the room. Colors and motifs carry through to create a unified whole within the space. Prayer, meditation and artistic expression have been combined to create meaningful pieces in keeping with the spirit and modern style of the space.
